The Dryer Idler Pulley Kit sits between the motor and the drum of the dryer, putting tension on the drive belt. The main reason for replacing the entire assembly is when the shaft has deteriorated and the idler wheel no longer spins. This kit comes with a tri-ring and washer. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
