WP8182634 Whirlpool Latch Assembly

This Front Load Washer Door Lock Latch Assembly secures the washer door shut during operation. Once the washing machine door is closed, the washer can begin operating. If the door lock is defective or has shorted out, the washer door will not latch properly. Make sure when wiring the new assembly, you insert the mounting tabs into their appropriate slots. Replacing the element will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
