Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor Kit

The SxS Refrigerator Evaporator Motor Kit helps circulate the cold air from the freezer into the fresh food compartment for sufficient cooling. If your refrigerator or freezer sections are too warm, the evaporator fan motor may no longer be circulating the air. Replacing the evaporator may alleviate the issue. You'll need to transfer the fan from the existing part or purchase a new one separately. Please see your specific model's parts list for the fan part number if needed. This part is behind the back panel of the freezer, so you'll have to remove your ice bucket, all the shelving, the lower bins and rails and mounting clips to access it. This part includes an external wire harness adapter. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part.
