The Dishwasher Thermal Fuse Kit includes the thermal fuse, (1) fuse assembly, (2) zip ties and installation instructions. The thermal fuse is located inside the console of the dishwasher and shuts off the heating element if the appliance overheats. If your dishwasher will not start, replacing the fuse may alleviate this issue. To access the part, open the dishwasher door and remove the screws holding in the top console. Then remove the tabs holding the cover at the back of the console. The fuse is mounted to the control board. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the water supply under the sink.
