This Dryer Thermal Cut Off Kit is a safety device designed to protect the dryer from overheating. A multimeter can be used to test the fuse. Always check the dryer venting when replacing a blown thermal fuse. To access the part, you'll need to remove the back panel of your dryer. This kit includes one thermal cut-off (360 degrees) and one hi-limit thermostat (250 degrees). If your dryer isn't heating as expected, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
